Progress update 3
over 3 years ago – Wed, Dec 16, 2020 at 11:52:01 PM

Greetings fellow adventurers!

We've got some great news, we're currently pretty much set with our new editor and are just sorting out small details on the contract. We're all sure that all of you will get super hyped when we let you know who we're working with, but as per usual we don't want to disclose any info before the contract is signed.

With everything happening over the last week, we're so close to this massive load falling off our shoulders as we have been working so hard to find someone who will do the adventure justice and who we would love working with.

In the meantime, here's a quick lore update!

The Village of Ardino

In the Queendom of Whirlwind, deep within the Rhodope mountains, lay the remote village of Ardino, the country’s last outpost. This underdeveloped part of Mednogorsk caught the attention of Its Copper Queen Lubomira. Her majesty and her court have appointed Ardino a new mayor - Izzetta Selim, assigned to expand this part of Whirlwind's province. As a noble, knyaginya Izzetta detested the idea of being sent in the middle of nowhere to govern over farms and peasants. However, her ambition and drive will see Ardino reach greatness. Izzetta’s first order of business was the construction of a bridge that connected the village with the rest of the Queendom, facilitating trade and communication.

Local goods are exported to the rest of Whirlwind, but perhaps the most famous export of Ardino is the Mavrud wine. A local merchant and head of a rising bourgeois family, Vasil Balabanov, holds monopoly over the wine trade in the Rhodope mountains. His family owns and runs the Tsar’s Stables Inn - “the first or last warm welcome you will get on this side of the mountain.”

Apart from agricultural commerce, Ardino is known for being the final resting place of a legendary master mason and miracle maker named Boyan Yaremir “Maga”. His tomb, Ravenstone, has attracted holy men and pilgrims for generations to this otherwise ordinary village. Folktales speak of treasures and relics hidden deep beneath the stones, and the pious Yaremirs are said to guard it from the unworthy, even in death.

We will keep you updated and let you know as soon as things are locked in!

Thank you for being with us on this journey!

Progress update 2
over 3 years ago – Mon, Dec 07, 2020 at 07:56:43 PM

Greetings fellow adventurers!

We've got some news from this past week!

1.  Surveys Update

The team at Backerkit has been super helpful with our first venture in the world of pledge managers and we’re excited to say that our surveys are now reviewed and we’re ready to do cast our smoke test spell!

Smoke test. A spell which sends out surveys to a small number of party members in order to confirm that the survey has been created correctly.

Thanks to the rest of our party members for the patience, this is a new spell we just learned, we hope it goes as planed!

2. Pre-orders

Backerkit also allows us to make pre-orders available, which we have and now they’re available through the kickstarter page. (we’ve made a new button)

3. Editor Update

We don’t want to jinx it, but things are going very well on this front and as much as we can’t share much info about it until things are official, we can at least say that we’re very very very happy and excited with how things are looking.

4. Lore Update

We’ve prepared a small lore update, so keep an eye out over the next couple of days for some new secret knowledge from the dusty scrolls.

Thank you so much for all of your bardic inspirations, guidance and enhance ability spells you’ve been casting at us! They’re doing miracles!

Love,

The Yellow Madhouse team!

Follow-up update
over 3 years ago – Wed, Dec 02, 2020 at 03:57:47 AM

Greetings fellow adventurers!

We want to start by saying a massive thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your understanding. Last week we were quite anxious as we expected a big backlash to the news. However, you amazing people reacted with so much positivity and support which calmed our anxiety! We can’t express how much this means to us!

During the last week we’ve spoken with 3 editors and are still weighing out our options. This is quite a crucial step to make and it is very important for the quality of the final product to make the right choice now.

On other fronts, everything is currently going according to plan and we’re so happy with what this adventure is shaping up to be!

We’ll update you on the situation again next Monday 7/12/20.

Love from the Madhouse,

The Yellow Madhouse team.

Important Update
over 3 years ago – Wed, Nov 25, 2020 at 01:27:56 PM

Greetings fellow adventurers!

Today, we’ve decided to move the release date of The Devil’s Bridge. At the current time due to unforeseen circumstances we can only speculate about how long the delay would be, but we wanted to let you know as soon as possible.

We know that many of you might be disappointed and frustrated about this delay and we understand and share these emotions. We want to start by saying that we are deeply sorry and we truly hope that you accept our apology.

Our biggest challenge at the moment is that we’ve had to unexpectedly part ways with our editor. This puts us in the uncomfortable situation of having to look for an editor last minute, on a tight deadline. On the bright side though, your support and the success of our Kickstarter now allows us to approach big names in the industry and make sure that our new editor is someone who has tons of experience in the field.

After speaking to a few potential editors, we discovered that due to the short notice their schedules are all booked up until earliest - beginning of 2021. This leaves us with a delay before finalising the page layout design both for digital and physical, and then manufacturing and shipping of the physical. However, please rest assured we are in communication with some of the best editors in the industry and we’re in the process of locking things down!

We will update you again on the topic next Monday 30/11/20 with any news. Our goal now is to officially lock in a contract with a new editor so we can calculate a realistic release date.

We’re working hard every single day to make sure we give you a truly awesome adventure. We had to make the choice between compromising with the quality of the adventure and a delay so the choice was obvious.

Thank you for your constant support and understanding! It really means a lot that you’re with us on our first Kickstarter adventure!

Love from the Madhouse,

Lucas, Stoil, Martin, Hristo, Nikolay and Maria
